[steps inside of the room and his gaze automatically goes to her, as does sympathy when he sees the state she is in. A few pangs of guilt surge through him when he thinks back to what he said to her when he was being controlled by the parasites.

He moves over to the couch and sit next to her. He knows she is not the touchy felt type but when she is looking that vulnerable, she is getting a hug.]

He's wrong, Artemis. People are more than their genetics, you are more than your blood. You're stronger than them.

[She won't even protest that hug because goodness knows a hug is nice right now.]

I know, but... he doesn't see it that way. He's still going to come after me or make things difficult, anyway.

[Quickly shakes his head and hugs her tighter.]

Things are different here, we hold all the cards but one. We know this place, we understand how it works, we have connections and he has no one. He has one card and you can take that from him.

If you tell the people you trust and care about that he's your father, the only power he'll have over you is the power you let him have. If you don't let him have any, he'll have none.

[Okay, Robin. She'll go ahead and hug back, now.]

I know, but that's easier said than done. What if... what if they're nowhere near as okay with me hiding this as you are?

[The team means a lot to her. They act as the family she's never had, and the last thing she wants to do is jeopardize that.

But would be a lot worse if her dad says anything and everything blows up in her face like that. This must be what it's like to be caught between a rock and a hard place...]

Think of all of the things we've been through just in this place alone. Everyone knows the kind of person you are, and look at me. [Points up at his sunglasses.] You don't know my real name but you trust me, don't you? Wally trusted me too. [Pretty sure he plays a big role in all of this.] He's a good guy, he's got a lot of heart.

I guess...you're right.

[But she also remembers how the team reacted when Kaldur didn't tell anyone about a mole. That was anything but happiness and sunshine.

He also threw Wally in there. Is it really that easy to tell she's most concerned about how he'd take it? She can't help but feel like she's damned if she doesn't say anything or just as damned if she does. She finally lets out a deep sigh.]

Alright. I'll tell him. Them. The rest of the team. I can count on you for support, right?

You know it. [Smiles at her.] You're not the first person I've met in this situation. I know someone else whose history is eerily similar to yours and it sounds like everything's worked out for her. [For the most part, anyway. It also sounds like Steph has been through some rough times.]

Thanks. [She finally cracks a small smile.] Seriously? Someone else who comes from a family of criminals and she turned out okay? Here's hoping things'll work out for me, too.
